Engagement Photos at Jonsrud Viewpoint, Sandy, Oregon

I am so excited to meet up with these two later this week for their wedding up at Timberline Lodge! I am overdue for snow photos. For this engagement session we went to Sandy’s Jonsrud Viewpoint which is a fairly famous location for photos of Mt Hood and the Sandy River Canyons below. Less famous for portraits… the light and space limitations started to make me antsy and I also wanted to check out a local park so we headed there next for an outfit change and found a pond and popped some champagne!

I would NEVER tell a client to plan for this, (PNW photographers know exactly what I mean lol) but we lucked out and ended up with a golden hour session during early January in Oregon!
